Die-cutting is a process used for the cutting, creasing, embossing, waste stripping, and blank separation of a range of sheet materials, from light papers and carton board, through heavy solid board, plastics and in-mold labels (IML), to micro-flutes and most types of corrugated board. The process is used in a wide variety of sectors from packaging, label, and display manufacture to commercial printing. It is possible to kiss cut adhesive substrates also. For this kind of processing a tool is required, which has a one time cost, because the tool is reusable. Some general tools are ready, our customers can use them in the design process, which is cost effective for production. The die line graphics are accessible under Downloads. Embossing, hot foiling with gold or silver is a very similar process. These processes also require a tool, but they greatly enhance your products. For die cutting we use a Heidelberg OHZ machine up to B/2 size (maximum sheet size: 720 x 520 mm), for flatbed die cutting we use a Victoria B/3 size machine. It is possible to process materials from folded carton boxes to labels, beer mats, puzzles and so on. We can glue folded carton boxes on 1 or 3 points.
In case of producing smaller publications, the folding is the choosen finishing. Flyers, maps, user guides are rather folded, pharmaceutical inserts are commonly processed this way. Precision of folding highly determinates the quality of finished product. Some binding processes also require folded sheets for finishing like thread sewing, perfect binding and so on. We are equippped with three Stahlfolder folding machines, according to material thickness and folding types. From bigger sheets (A/1) size to as small as 2 cm folds are possible. Maximum 10 paralell folds are possible.
Processing printed sheets also require suitable machinery. Precise cutting is made by our Polar 78 ES programmable paper guillotine. Most of our products are saddle stitched booklets. A form of binding where pages are laid on top of one another, stapled in the center, and folded in half to form a booklet. Commonly used for magazines, financial reports and brochures. In case the booklet has special cover or inner spread with fold-out page(s) this is also available. We are using for this purpose a Muller Laconda B3 10 station machine. The stitches can be normal or omega type, which allows the brochure to be placed inside of a folder with ring mechanisms. Perfect binding is a form of adhesive binding. This binding is sometimes called "soft cover", which is similar to a paperback novel binding. It is excellent for books, corporate reports, manuals, brochures, and annual reports. The advantages are: versatile, printable spine, longevity, overall look and visual appeal. We are using for this purpose a Horizon perfect binding machine. Ring wire binding provide a contemporary, high-tech look. Documents open flat, in single sheets or spreads, and their pages can rotate 360 degrees. Wire binding is also especially durable and able to withstand temperature extremes. Wire binding is mainly used on calendars, but can be used in catalogs, business reports as well. Wire binding offer many ways to customize your documents appearance. We can bind up to 500 mm with 2:1 and 3:1 pitch size twin loop spiral. We can produce hardcover folders with ring mechanisms also, hardcover sample holders, file slippers etc... In case we need to drill holes in finished product, we use our 4 head Nagel paper drill machine.
